The twins had to be taught a lesson in humility from someone... Or not.
The stunning blond-haired twins, Aubrey and April, strolled through the mall thinking of ways to spend their allowance. They quite enjoyed turning the heads of every male in the mall as they walked. They flipped and tossed their hair about to glean as much attention as they could. One woman jabbed an elbow into her unsuspecting boyfriend’s side. The twins waved and showcased themselves even more, much to the chagrin of the other female onlookers.

Marissa, a mousy young lady, and Laura, a heavy set teen watched the display as they rested upon a bench.

“Sickening,” Laura murmured while popping a gumball in her mouth.

“Yeah.” Marissa just stared, while the twins entered the trendy “Elise’s Boutique”.

“We’ve got to do something.” Laura chewed.

“Hey, you know that little sundry store on the top level?” A malicious composure crept over Marissa’s face.

“Yeah.”

“Let’s get some dish liquid. These floors can be awfully… slippery.” Marissa’s eyes sparkled.

“Even if we get caught, this is April fools day.”

They pushed out of their seat and hurried toward the escalator, bent on their newfound mission. When the twins emerged, they’d be ready.

Laura and Marissa took positions on each side of the Boutique’s entrance and saw that the twins were checking out. Marissa nodded at Laura. They emptied their respective bottles onto the floor, and retreated to the bench to watch.

The dish liquid seeped into the grate and bubbles started emerging from the vents. The colorful display lights turned the bubbles all shades of psychedelic. The twins emerged amidst the kaleidoscopic globes. The mall walkers all stopped to admire the show. The twins flaunted their wares, and stepped over the gooey grate.

“Are they movie stars?” A nearby onlooker exclaimed.

Laura shook her head. “I didn’t think it could get worse.”
