Though the years test the spirit, the heart's flame still flickers. A septolet poem
** Image ID #1636613 Unavailable **

Still Afire

Old love—
vibrant as
scarlet birds.

Atop snow piled
evergreen boughs,
burns boundless
passion.

*Note* Septolet: The Septolet is a poem consisting of seven lines containing fourteen words with a break in between the two parts. Both parts deal with the same thought and create a picture. This is a very flexible form and allows you to put the break in the stanzas anywhere you wish, so long as the poem is only 7 lines. Each line can contain any number of words so long as the total word count is only 14.
