True Self Step Forward Now

Creativity is stifled by this wall of society
Alas, my only wish is simply just to be
But I cannot enter into my known realm
And thus return only to automatic helm
Where is the ghost that lingers
True self return to thine
You’ve been embraced in prison
The people made the crime
Stuck a soul inside a cell
To prevent a human hell
But the truth is in the gift
And God knows what is true
It’s going to be difficult
But I must look at you
Self prepare now for this journey
Pack your courage and your knowledgeable ways
For without the truth is not the way to make it to your grave
It’s been too long and I can’t find what I thought was honest
But I have to search, I have to look, the future is upon us
I tried to throw it away before, I ran from what I knew
But happiness is nothing without knowing really who
The one is in the mirror, looking back at you
Self return to me, I’ll open you again
It’s time to learn, it’s time to teach, it’s time to be a friend
No more runs, no more walks away from knowing hands
The mind has opened and it waits for things from other lands
Guide me now in your direction
Your will knows everything and all
I walk boldly and with grace but knowing I will fall
I’ve tried the other ways but alas they are not for me
And as was said in the beginning
The truth shall set you free.
