He is There

In shock, you stare in disbelief
Wondering if what you saw is true
Then slowly as the scene sinks in
You wonder how you'll make it through

A moment ago this seemed a normal day
Nothing unusual so far
Once your disbelief subsides
You wonder if God knows where you are

Most definitely he knows and cares
He will carry you through the darkest night
And when you feel to weak to go on
He will stand in your place to fight

He has not and will not abandon
Any child of his come what may
Besides, He already knows the outcome
Of yesterday, tomorrow, and today

So though the wait seems endless
And your heart can fill with fear
Know this that He is watching
And His angels hover near

In the midst of this trial
When you're uncertain what morning brings
Take heart my precious friends
Because HE will handle things
