Written during a thunderstorm. Nature takes her revenge.
Boom boom boom
The thunder shouts your doom
You immediately run for cover
And hope this storm won't hover.
Darkness comes quickly, there is no light
Then lightning strikes, all is bright
But only for a second, then it's gone
Again, you're left in darkness, alone.
Now you hear the sirens sounding,
Mere background noise to the rains pounding.
What was a road is now a river,
A current pulled by winds that make trees quiver
Mother nature us driven by an angry rage
From being stuck in society's awful cage.
She rips at buildings, near and far,
Not caring about how strong they are.
Then you see me walk outside
And wonder why I don't run and hide.
I know her story and speak her language
I help her heal from your pillage.
I aid her, join her in this dance,
Your eyes are drawn to this, in a trance.
Suddenly you know what you must do!
You must come out and join in too!
Together we three move and sway
And you know, you'll never forget this day.
For this is the day you came to realize
That nature is the only one who can criticize.
