A dead man's will holds some strange requests. |
Tony wasn't the most outgoing person. He never made an attempt to bring any attention to himself. This is why everyone was so surprised when they read his last will the day after he died... ----Dear Family and Friends If you are reading this I have passed on. I know you want to know how the estate and my money will be split, but I have a small matter to attend to first. I have instructed that this be read BEFORE my funeral for a reason. This is because I have some wished for how my funeral should be handled. I have included on a separate sheet of paper attached to this how to access a secrete bank account of mine that will easily pay for these demands in full. It also tells where to find a separate piece of paper with my instructions on how to split everything up amongst my friends and family. Do not read this "true will" until after the following demands have been fulfilled. 1. I wish to be buried in a casket I have already picked. The instructions on where to pick it up are enclosed. It is already payed for in full, is bright red, has neon lights, and LED lights that spell out my name. 2. I have hired a barbershop quartet to sing Rush songs. I figured this will lighten the mood. 3. Please contact my old friend Jack Henderson. He had prepared a firework show for the burial. 4. I wish to have a large tomb stone that has a large picture of a rabbit eating a sandwich. 5. I wish to wear a pink suit in my casket. 6. Anybody who shows up for my funeral MUST be allowed in, no matter who they are. Yours, Tony Sanders---- The family was shocked. No sense could be made out of any of the demands. The home where he was being put to rest asked politely if they could inform the news of these odd requests. They insisted it would make an interesting story. The family eventually allowed it. The next night the story appeared on the 11 o'clock news. People everywhere were perplexed by this story. Many people started to believe that his requests might have been a code, or have some hidden symbolic meaning, though nobody could make heads or tails about it. The night of the funeral arrived and every plan was followed to the word. Afterward the confused family arrived for the reading of the "true will." The envelope was opened and the following was read. ----Dear Friends and Family I am sorry that I had to put you through all this, and I plan to explain it all. A few years ago I became aware that I have done little with my life, and that I was never brave enough in life to do anything that would give me a bit of attention. Afraid that I would be forgotten after I passed on a arranged this. I am sorry. It is a bit silly. I just wanted to go out with a bang.---- After this he placed instructions on how to split everything he owned amongst his loved ones. Tony's funeral had made it to the national news, it appeared on many shows and websites. A large fan club was formed in his honor and many people where inspire by him to "go out with a bang." It was planned that a small group of his friends and family would attend. 40 family members, 50 friends of the family, 3000 total strangers, and 70 news channels showed up. Allof them were allowed to attend because of Tony's wishes. Tony was never forgotten. His one true final wish was fulfilled. |
