Equation

The hole is greater than some of its parts,
A problem unsolvable with logic and smarts.
A visible variable, distracts and confounds,
Solutions in circles, making the rounds.

The lows come inverted, becoming the highs,
Conversely conversing with shock and surprise.
Addition by subtraction, the answers provide,
A corrected reduction creates a divide.

I carry the burden, and follow the sines,
I take off on tangents, unraveled, unwind.
The total equation comes to its conclusion,
And equals the total sum of the illusion.
