Stars streaked slowly earthward
Burning firey trails
Casting shadows on ruined valleys
Glistening visages carved from sadness
Dusty rivers ran no more
Replaced with bones and shattered hope
Forests now stand barren
Where many once stood tall
Succumbed to rot, gravity, time
Only hardiest live long
Flowers had here graced
Glens, Dales, Mountains
Broken stalks, littered petals,
Are all that remain today
Scattered among they fallen
Though most there be merely corpses
Skulls amongst rocks, bushes
A shady presense haunts the land
Night breaks into morning,
Silence fills the sky,
As sunrise comes I realise
Of those left,
None survive.
