A poem about the dark intentions that fester in a child whose parent has abandoned them.
You walked from my sight
Not heard from again
A hole in middle
Of all that I knew

You made this decision
Without my permission
Now that you’re gone
I see what is true

You sought adventure
Or just ran away
But I sit here waiting
And aging on queue

Your selfish reasons
Have darkened my heart
Now that I’ve grown
I know what to do

My anger is poison
That seeps through my veins
And fury a power
That I will accrue

Slowly I’ll hunt you
Like a wolf does its prey
My shadowy smile
The last thing you’ll view
