How bitterness ruins our own lives.
Bitterness

The acid in the belly that spills,
going into us deeply like blood.
It atrophies inner heart and soul,
cauterizing a heart against good.

A planned attack becomes suicide,
self-inflicting the cause of much pain.
Forgive and don't let past hurts decide,
that mercy should go down the drain.

Do not drink from it's grotesque cup,
for bile and sorrow lies there within.
Waste not your life on bitterness,
it will destroy you from the outside-in.

Forgive those who do not ask to be.
in graciousness turn the other cheek.
Stop letting others control how you feel,
Walk away wiping the dust from your feet.

You will feel better off if you do this.
Bitterness hurts the tender true self.
Don't store resentments and hatred,
like prized posessions upon a shelf.

author's notes:Science has proven that with each heartbeat,
you can heal your body. How? Every time your heart beats,
it sends a signal to every cell in your body. Our emotions
can positively or negatively charge each cell. The cells in
the brain are very similar to the ones in the gut. That's why
when you get upset you feel it in your gut. Feelings of
bitterness and anger impact the liver, stomach, pancreas.
But every second we have a chance to become a healthier
and happier person,so start thinking positive thoughts!

Ephesians 4:31-32

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and
slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
as God in Christ forgave you.

Romans 14:10-12-
Why do you pass judgment on your brother?
Or you, why do you despise your brother?
For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; for it is written,
“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.”
So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.

Galatians 5:19-21-
Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality,
impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy,
fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness,
orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before,
that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Bitterness is drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.
