Cold Sweat

With nervous hands,
my palms drip with cold sweat.,
cold anxious sweat
              - 'Don't sweat it
                                  - she's different'
                                                        i tell myself



My legs shake and quiver
it's getting hard to stand
                        - i can't stand how i feel


My tongue is in a knot
                              - but that's not half my problem

i wipe the beads of sweat
from my wrinkled nervous brow
and step along side her

she's different... don't sweat it
