This is the first thing I have ever written. I have never wrote a song before this.
Been stuck in a rut
Waiting for the world to cave in below my feet
I sit here crying while my life passes
Working 9 to 5, and 5 to 9 just to get by

The people drag by with heavy eyes and dry hands
staring into a dark blue sky reaching and praying for
their God to save them from this small town hell
speaking their tongues, preaching their words,
down on their knees praying to bring their sons
and daughters home back to this small town hell.

CHORUS
Living in a small town hell
Where words mean nothing and the money's no good.
We're living in a small town hell
Where the people look and stare at us
cause we ain't got no shoes on our feet.
Living in a small town hell
where the blood is thick and their ain't nothin' to do but pass on by

Stuck in these walls
No car, No money
waiting for the bus by the corner
walking to school in crowds with torn shoes
The kids call us names and spit on our feet
They don't know our soul or understand our hearts

It hurts us here
our hearts feels heavy
our heads ache
our shoes are too tight
as we waste time in small town hell
our dreams are only a escape from here
