A ray of hope for a wolf in pain
A hand to lift a head hung with shame
Eyes meet hers with a concerned gaze
Hands pulling her from the haze

Bringing her to a new home
Arms surrounding her in comfort
Easing the pain of her broken heart

A ray of hope for a wolf crying
No longer alone and dying
Gentle hands wipe away her tears
Loving arms ward off her fears

A ray of hope for a wolf at last
Can she finally escape her past?
Silver fur and amber eyes
Someone’s finally heard her cries

The sun no longer hides in the cloud
