Distorted view in the mirror of memories and broken trust instead of true image
                                                    TRUE REFLECTION

It's only glass, or so I'm  told,
Then why do I feel so cold?
Cold with fear, cold with pain,
Glass shatters like heavy drops of rain.
Now, the image is seen in  many a part,
Even more horrible that this black heart!!

A mirror image shows the bad,
It only intensifies the sad.
Sad and bad inside and out,
Filling the soul with unending doubt,
Reflection hears the disgusted shout!
Hide away, don't look, don't see,
This horrible creature they call ME!!

A reflection of what is true,
No wonder then,  I feel so blue!
A shapeless monster fills the pane,
Showing inside and out, guilt and shame.
So, look away, don't play their game,
Don't look at this evil, this devil, one and the same.

Unclean, used, disgust, that is what is seen,
Their shadows lurk, reminders of what has been.
An unfit face, two dark captors, this image real,
The mirror and evil have made their deal.
Hide that body, that shameful face,
A thing that never knew childlike grace!

Mirrors see the truth, so they say,
Hide this image, I ask and pray?
This image, unfit for all,
If seen, all that would be heard is a horror filled call.
Destroy it, shame, pain and heavy eyesore,
Make the evil come out from within, just pour and pour,
Maybe then, the reflection will not seem so sour!

The glass holds such power,
It makes me cower.
Fear fills this sinful image,
This body full of damage.
Just don't look anymore,
It makes the heart feel oh so sore.
Hide away, be nice to the world,
Inflict this unsightly being no more!!

Mirror, glass, reflection,  shadows,
Show the shame, ever present,
Instil the fear of their presence,
Make their words loud and clear,
"A body that should be hidden,
A heart and mind unfit for the world."
This body needs to be small,
Stay hidden from all!!

Hide the glass,
No more it sees,
No more it feels,
Too small  to be seen,
Too small to be bad,
No more to make them mad!
