The Day is New

Life is something that comes and goes,
the meaning of it, no one knows.

You live your life, you try to be good
but are you living the way you should?

The sun is up, the day is new
Now what are you going to do?

You get out of bed but wonder why
a feeling comes over you that makes you cry.

This day was made for you, you know
so you try to let a little happiness show.

Although a smile appears on your face,
a sign of happiness is hard to trace.

Out an open window you stare,
and wonder if God really does care.

You see His birds and beauty and know he must,
so to God you give your trust.

As you take a second look at His land,
you know with God you're ready to stand.

Up on your feet you turn around,
and now that happiness can be found.
