A couple consummate their relationship
                                    Feel the Wind

Milky moonlight spilled over the bedroom walls. Silence. She opened the window just far enough to rest on the latch. Soon. She breathed in the rich smells from the market place below. Perfume, spices and jasmine. The flower of night. This night was different. She was different. A strange tingling sensation washed over her skin. Soon.
Walking up the winding steps, he took his time. Pausing, he listened to the sounds of the hotel. Talking, laughing and the movement of doors. Normally, he found this noise an annoyance, but tonight he was detached from everything. Suddenly a glass broke followed by harsh words from the bar manager. The new barman was somewhat clumsy. Frowning he continued his trek up the alabaster staircase. He did not want to be interrupted tonight. Arriving at her door, he gazed at the number nine nailed into its chest.
In and out, in and out. She felt foolish as she reminded herself to breathe. It wasn't due to nervousness or fear, she simply felt suspended. Like an ant in amber. Walking slowly to the door, her fingers gripped the handle and turned it. He stood before her, green eyes locking with hers. A moment passed. He smiled warmly. Following her inside he closed and locked the door behind him. Waiting. Neither of them knew what they were waiting for, but they waited.
She crossed the floor to stand in front of him. He took her hand in his. Eyes locked again. She felt his thumb massage the back of her hand. The window slammed shut without warning causing them both to jump. He turned back to her grinning softly. She rolled her eyes at his amusement, but he could see her lips curving upwards. Slowly, he pulled her into his embrace. Warm. The thud of his heartbeat seemed to echo along the walls. Drums announcing imminent change.
Pulling away from the embrace she moved to sit on the bed. She couldn't look at him. Looking at him might make this real. She wasn't sure if she was ready for reality yet. The mattress depressed as he sat beside her. His hands reached up to open the clasp of her hairpin. His eyes darkened as chestnut tresses cascaded until they came to rest below her waistline. Soft.
Raising her face to be on a level with his, his eyes asked the question. She trapped his hand betwen her cheek and shoulder. He felt her kiss brush his palm. The blanket was thrown off so that reality returned. The moment she could smell his coffee flavoured breath her eyelids slid closed. Lips connected, pulled away, connected again. The gentle rhythm was intense. Her arms wrapped themselves around his neck, while she felt his arms circling her waist. The precipice was coming into view for both of them.
Deepening the kiss, she tasted him. Coffee black with one sugar. Her head swam. His hands travelled up and down her back, mapping each notch and groove of her spine. As their kiss ended, eyes locked again. Heat. Almost imperceptible but for the eyes. Taking her hand, he stood up. Silence. Closing her eyes, she felt the straps of her dress lowered. An ache suddenly pulsated through her abdomen.
Her black dress pooled at her feet. Her eyes locked with his. He gazed at the beauty in front of him. Her skin, a mixture of creamy white underneath and lightly brown on the outside caused his breath to hitch. He traced the underside of her left breast with his forefinger. She smiled. Effortlessly, he lifted and carried her back to their bed. Quiet. She watched as he he undressed. Black leather jacket, blue shirt and beige trousers.
His boxers were the last barrier to reality. He lowered them slowly, bottle green eyes never leaving hers. She studied him. Broad shoulders, well-built arms, narrow hips. Sitting on the bed beside her, he pressed his mouth to hers and felt his temperature soar as he heard the sigh escape.
Passion swelled in the room. Beads of sweat bloomed on skin. His cologne wafted into every crevice. He tickled the back of her knee and a wave of laughter rolled between them. Silence returned. Lips caressed waiting nipples and tongues continued a tantalizing dance. She traced the map of his face, relishing the feel of new stubble on his chin. Leaning over her, he positioned himself between her narrow thighs. Slowly.
She felt him moving carefully inside, her eyes searching his. Back and forth, until he reached that barrier. Her teeth worried her lip. Pause. Again the question passed between them. She nodded wordlessly. Like the flash of a camera, he pushed through in one swift motion. A hiss was heard in the room. All at once she felt his lips soothing the nape of her neck. She let out the breath she had forgotten she was holding. Traffic passed outside.
He did not begin to move until he knew the pain was gone. Her hips answered that question as they thrust up towards him. Smiling, he created a steady rhythm that was best for her. Pulsing. Full. Hot. Lips captured other lips. A promise exchanged. The pace increased, gaining momentum. They both could see the edge of this cliff. Both were prepared for the plummet.
'You're close', he whispered. Nodding, she allowed the maelstrom of indescribable pleasure flood from her head to her feet. Soundless cry. She felt him smile. Suddenly existing in reality, her release continued to ripple. She watched him, taken over by the moment until she felt the liquid bathe her insides in warmth. Lowering himself over her, he tried to marshall his breathing. Silence. Clock ticking. Wind attacking trees mercilessly. Moonlight.
Calm flowed over, around and between. He lay beside her. Eyes connected again. Night was losing the battle to day. The shadows faded in the room. She noticed the large freckle on his hip. Neither slept. She kissed him slowly, her head resting on his shoulder. 'You drink too much coffee', he heard her murmur against his skin. He smiled. Day Broke.
