Charactors (What do you think)

Ok so I'm thinking about a couple charactors for my main story. I haven't wrote ANY yet, just waiting for what I think should happen and what comes to me.

Alaine - Soft spoken yet tough. She doesn't let anyone get in her way, but is very kind.
Emma - The sweetheart from out west. Girly, and a bit stubborn. Alaine's friend.
Alex - Tomboy from California, ran away because her parents where poor.
Andy - Creative young genious in a fosterhome. She can be very aggresive but means well.
Melanie - Five year old fairy. Has fantasic looks and has an attitude.
Iris - Lovable ten year old. sweet inconnent. Or is she?
