on the brink of apathy....
I gave up searching...
For once I tried,
But there was nothing.
No light, no peace...
Not my heart nor soul...
But darkness and cold,
Hopes too shallow, too dim.

My eyes saw colors and smiles...
Though it faded with age,
And my heart that once,
Trembled with passion,
Fell silent and lifeless...
Drifting into the endless abyss.

In time, melodies hushed...
Lullabies hummed, leaving dreamers,
Asleep forever and ever...
As I lay and gazed at the stars, I wait.
Though I fear not utter loneliness,
But forgetting what true love is...
