The life of an alcoholic musician that I like to call Yahdz
They're gonna wash your brain
From the inside out,
And tell you it's okay.
The Glitz and the Glamour,
The drugs and the sex
It's all a public display...

You're gonna die in the end
so you might as well enjoy the ride
Strum that guitar 'till your fingers feel numb
'Cause in the end it'll all be "all right"

At least that what YOU think,
right now you're so tipsy
you can't even see straight.

What happened to that little girl
that played around with Barbie dolls?
Cigarettes and pills
you don't care at all.

I miss that girl.
She was my best friend
Her dark hair dyed blond
Her nails sparkly pink.

I want my Yahdz back.
Grab the martinis
Strap on your heels
You have no idea,
How bad that makes me feel.

"Awake and unafraid, asleep or dead"
that's what the song says
Are you asleep?
Or are you dead?

Where is your shame?
The decency is flushed
The "Glitz and the Glamour"
You can never get too much.

Pray for forgiveness as you cry yourself to sleep,
Thinking about what it was like,
before that little girl who played with dolls
Grew up, to be a promiscuous 'woman',
going along with whatever she picks up.

Don't tell me your sorry.
Don't tell me not to be mad,
'cause you know that ain't happening
I want my Yahdz back.

Their gonna wash your brains
From the inside out
And tell you it's okay.
The "Glitz and the Glamour"
The drugs and the sex
Watch it all fade away

It'll always stay the same.
