One night I wandered
Upon the silky grass
I watched the river flow
A twisting blue ribbon of peace
I looked up at the stars
And saw hundreds of twinkling diamonds
Sparkling, saying, all is well
I felt it deep down inside
Almost nothing is certain in these times
Our jobs, our love lifes, our money
Even if we think it is.
But there is no easy way to make it certain.
The only things that are unchanging are
The glory of nature, the beauty of it all!
Perhaps one day we could ruin that as well
But perhaps one day we could save it.
Author's note: I wrote this poem one day when I was thinking of how nature is so peaceful and yet we have the potential to ruin it. To everyone out there, please protect what is worth protecting!
