This is a memorial poem written in honor of my grandmother..
THE GARDEN
One day the Lord came out to see the garden at His feet
And thought that just one flower more would make His land complete.
But this one flower had to be the best, most beautiful kind,
So He looked down and viewed the world to see what He could find.
He saw our loved one waiting there, and how His eyes
did shine! This was that special one He needed to brighten up the land.
He reached down and whispered, "Why don't you take My hand?'
He told her of a magical world awaiting her above,
The land of milk and honey, the land of peace and love.
And though she didn't want to leave, He cast His godly spell
She took His hand and followed Him and bid a fond farewell.
Although I'll miss her very much, I'll always do my best
Because that's what she taught me.
I know that I am blessed.
