I don’t know how I got here
It has taken me some time
The passion once burned strong
Is somehow lost, vanished, gone
The belief in myself, less each day
I got here and here I stay
Ideas once filled my mind
I now slip further behind
Wondering why I bother, try
Told I don’t, don’t know why
If you could see for a day
How if feels not to be
To want to be what your are not
To watch your dreams each day rot
To wish you could gain back control
Or find resemblance left in your soul
I was a child filled with hope
Hope that brought me here one day
Here I am and here I stay
Time has passed
Ideas have died
Before I even really tried
Don’t tell me who I’ve become
I don’t know, but I don’t run
