I see life in colors. Do you?
Colors of Life

When it is Young, it’s whisper Pink,
         blushing at the possibilities
                   yet unabashedly ever vanguard.
Embrace the youth, feel the colors of life.

When it is Happy, it’s bright Yellow,
a bouncing field of wild flowers
                   rolling down a grassy hillside.
Smell the flowers, feel the colors of life.

When it is Sad, it’s slate gray,
         with never-ending drizzles and
sounds of a bass, deep and low .
Hear the tones, feel the colors of life.

When it is Secure, it’s cold Black,
         gliding through traffic jams
                   confident like a VIP motorcade.
Glide through it, feel the colors of life.

When it is Lonely, it’s desolate Brown,
a big naked oak tree in January
in the middle of a vacant lot.
See the tree, feel the colors of life.

When it is Comfortable, it’s royal Purple,
traipsing about to it’s on vibes,
funky fresh as it wants to be.
Get the vibes, feel the colors of life.

When it is Turbulent, it’s scarlet Red,
         screaming, teary eyes afire,
                   nervously pacing back and forth.
Scream, cry, pace, feel the colors of life.

When it is Peaceful, it’s warm Green,
blades of grass softly carpeting the earth
bearing under the weight of the world.
Bear under it, feel the colors of life.

When it is Rebellious, it’s burnt Orange,
         scoffing at rules and authority,
                   challenging, childish, angry, untamable.
Shout in anguish, feel the colors of life.

When it is in Love, it’s ocean Blue,
a cloudless sky over tropical waters,
                   no inhibitions, translucent and pure.
Get completely drenched, feel the colors of life.

When it is Gone, it’s stark White,
         neither glorious nor scorned
                   but absolute and complete.
Contemplate the absolute, feel the colors of life.
