three poems two are limericks and one is about adventures |
Joe There once was a seahorse named Joe He liked to put on a grand show. Swimming in the sea He would sometimes shout yippie Until he was eaten by a sturgeon Where he needed to be rescued by a surgeon Joe the seahorse now grows old But has never been accused of being cold For he know has a life long friend And I am sorry to say this is the end Fulerky There once was a fulerky It was a big nasty thing That looked like a turkey Who you would not like to hear sing Which one day came thundering down the mountain side The children all looked away While the adults were all rather snide As the fulerky screamed," I am off to Bombay!" Adventure Walking the plank I stare into the abyss Fear hits me with an iron fist The water looks warm Yet so cold The happiness that floods through me As I slowly go Stuck in a tower I sit alone thankful for peace Alas the heat is getting to me Hmm I think having a friend Would mean the world to me His eyes look through my window I turn away, anger pulsing through my vains Wondering when will he come The hunger is there, the thirst is strong My mind says no, my body yes I run off fast So the light won't find me Yet hoping it will For the darkness is brutal Perhaps I'll stop And see the sun rise One last time It truly is amazing to me All the things i can be The places I go Adventures that I see Yet what scares me is All the adventures Take place in just one spot And that one spot happens to be In my room |
