A Poem about divorce.
We still love you, really we do,
but there is something you aught to know.
Your father and I tried, it’s true
It’s not really going to work though.

We still love you even though
we made love for you but now one must leave you.
I know this a big blow
but it really is true.

We love you with all our hearts,
and we will protect you with our lives.
We will just be separate parts
so we can survive.

Have I mentioned that we love you?
And we will get along, so you can stay strong.
It won’t be easy, but we will make due
so you feel like you belong.

Yes mom, I know you love me.
But have you ever considered it’s not about love?
Have you ever thought about our family tree?
And that now there will be no place for me?

I love you too mom,
but now I am caught between two lives
Why should I stay calm
now that I must strive with a family who has two different wives

Prove that you love me.
Prove that everything really will be ok.
How could you guarantee
that things will stay at bay?

Do you see what you have done to me?
You’ve took away the perfect family.
