The season of caring and giving is near--
A time known for Santa and elves and reindeer.
When trees dress in lights and wear stars as a crown,
With garland and icicles worn as a gown.
Colorful lights deck the halls—red and green,
Holly and mistletoe complete the scene.
A new welcome mat, a wreath for the door.
Then a last minute shopping trip to the store.
The children in bed, pretending to sleep.
A noise on the roof, then downstairs they creep.
Presents arranged by the tree in a row,
Nobody in sight, just a note: “Ho, Ho, Ho!”
