to show how society dangerously affects how we respond to certain events and feelings
A family grieves
for each life God takes.
A young kid is scolded
for a simple mistake.
Everyday, somewhere,
a child suffers.
A new scar is added
on the skin of a cutter.
A bad choice is made,
a person winds up in jail.
Someone gives up;
Another goal is failed.
A game of russian roulette is played,
some poor sucker loses.
A four year old infant
is covered in bruises.
After each cacoon,
comes a peaceful butterfly.
Each day a person
contemplates suicide.
A heroine addict in an alley
is shooting up.
A girl with bulimia
is constantly puking up.
A psychologist is distraught
and gives up on her patient.
A teenager is raped
in a building that is vacant.
Daddy is drunk,
the daughter is crying.
Mom is passed out
on the sofa, dieng.
A couple gets in a violent fight,
a spouse is killed.
A young depressed boy
swallows a bottle of pills.
An abandoned child
will never love again.
A heart is broken
that will never mend.
A murderers hands
are covered in blood stains.
A teenage mother
is strung out on cocaine.
A prostitutes baby
is hungry and home alone.
An abused childs heart
has turned into stone...
This is the world we live in,
this is what we have to endure.
Until the day that we give up,
the day that we cant bare it anymore.
