Some people percieve truth differently than others, but how so?
Some people perceive truth differently than others. One kind of truth is that it's true for all people and things, that if we thought about things in a different way, we would be wrong. The other kind of truth was that truth is only what is true to us. In other words, we really have no idea how other people perceive the world, and everything could just be a mirage. If one believed in this kind of truth, there is almost nothing they could say that they could agree was truth. If they said "It's truth that I'm sitting at this table right now," they could then argue with themselves saying "well, how do I know that? How do I know that I'm sitting at this table, and that I'm not simply imagining it?" If someone believed in this sort of outlook on truth, the only thing that they could say that they agreed was truth is "It is true that there is no truth," at which point they would turn on that idea, because it completely contradicts itself. It also can mean that perception of the world is based on personal opinion. If someone thought that they were ugly, it would be true to them, because it was their own personal opinion. But someone else then might look at them and say to themselves "That person is absolutely gorgeous" then that would be true to them also. A good question that you could ask someone who believes in this kind of truth would be "If every single human being on this planet happened to agree on one side of an argument on one certain topic, would it then be truth, until someone was born who would later disagree?" Personally, I don't exactly have an outlook on either side, because I'm religious, and therefore agree on most things the bible says. But I also don't know exactly what goes on in life: Ever since I first heard the theory that there was no truth, I have been driving myself crazy due to my curiosity on the matter, and every time I come across the statement "It's true that there is no truth" I drive myself even more crazy trying to understand what it exactly means, and see if I can find any other meanin
