You will see the horror
You will see the pain
You will see the loss
You will see the fear

You will see the woman
You will see the warrior
You will see the beauty
You will see the longing
You will see the hope
You will see the love
You will see the passion

On the outside I am strong and confident
On the outside I am quiet and always alert
On the outside I am beautiful and young, so I am told
On the outside I am whole, trusting and have the world at my feet

On the inside I am defenseless and shy
On the inside I am withdrawn and without a voice
On the inside I am ugly and old
On the inside I am broken, damaged and unworthy

Look, into my eyes to see my soul
Look, are you strong enough, to fight demons of long ago
Look, are you strong enough, to conquer my fears
Look, are you strong enough to love me
