Don't let go

My mind is clouded by pain and misery
It hurts to breath, to even think
My cheeks are stained by the
trail of a thousand tears

My heart is broken, my body feels defeated
I can't continue on with life like this
I must make a change, but don't know how
There is nowhere to turn

I feel like I'm in a deep dark hole
I can barely see the light now
My hands are reaching out, grasping
There is nobody there, I am alone

Cold and scared, I keep trying to climb
I must find a way out, back to the surface
back to the light, out of my darkness
Losing my grip, I fall back down

My day will come, I have to believe
I'll be out of this hole, tears will stop
I have to hold on to that last piece of hope
Griping it tightly, I can't let it go
