ending of a marriage
On a happy day we exchanged vows
pledged our love and promises
we saw forever happily ever after
On another day
the vows became commands
promises were empty
love became a lie
On the last day
the vows were now threats
promises of abuse
the love became dead
We promised together to be together till death
I am already there
Now you must let me go
