This is a poem about being on the edge.
I stand on the cliff
Hundrens of miles down
So many things have pushed me to the edge
But as I stand there on this cliff
I can feel the sun pour down on my back and face
I quietly turn around as if to face the enemy
I slowly shut my eyes and stretch my arms out wide
I smile as I can feel the dirt slide from under my bear feet
As I slowly fall off of my cliff
I do not feel pain.
I do not feel afraid.
I do not scream.
I slowly fall like a weighted feather
All I feel is the peace and truth in God to pick up the broken pieces when
I hit rock bottom.
