Sundays for Mondays

God knew after six days
That He needed to rest
and so He says
I have got to get a ways
from all of this stress

In the Commandments of ten
His purpose was led
by His concern for all men
a break from work
and to rest instead

In todays world of hurry
it seems that all our
activities are in a flurry
no time for rest,
not even a hour

This is not God's plan
for He knew without rest
that very soon, man
would be under much stress

so with a day to unwind
and a time to sing and pray
everyone would then find
a renewed energy for Monday


It is about time for you to rise and shine
already for Mondays test
while the two days of recline
brings on a new zest
showing that with Sundays rest
Mondays you are always at your best
