Not exactly based in reality. A look at how the oft-misunderstood "other woman" feels.
No, I really don't believe it all when you tell me what she says.
I'm not the kind of person that does this sort of thing.

You've always been the wise one, venerable and kind.
I've always been so demure, and timid to let you in.

She loves you because she can take you out and show you to all her friends.
But I know you dislike attention, but you go along to make amends.

Let's act as if we're somewhere else, far far away.
She would be gone from your life, and with me you would stay.

With me you would stay, and no more would your looks be cast down.
Gone would be that sweet, sweet lady and the talk of the town.

Don't let it get you so glum, you are who you want to be.
As for me, I'll be alright, alone with my dreams lost in the sea.
