This is what booking a trip on the internet is like when you are me!
How to book your own hotel room in Paris

If you are going with a friend to Paris, we can give you some useful tips on how to get hotel rooms. We recently made three reservations at three hotels.

This is how to proceed:

First you go to travel sites A B and C to find the best hotels at the cheapest prices
Then you find reviews of these hotels (from recent guests) on each site.
Usually reviews go something like this:

Reviewer 1
Wonderful. Hotel. I stay there every year! The staff is very friendly and the room was spacious and comfortable.

Reviewer 2
.My wife and I thought this was the best kept secret in Paris. The location was upscale, and the room was pristine. It was like staying at the Taj Mahal on a budget!

Reviewer 3
I stayed here with my grandmother and my two infants.
The staff was helpful and the place was immaculate. It felt safe and secure.

Reviewer 4
DON”T EVER STAY HERE!! There was a roach on my pillow, three drunk men got into my room with out a key, and the staff cursed at me! This is the hotel from hell!

Try not to panic.
Start over

You will now loose your wireless connection. Reconnect after 27 minutes.

Keep searching sites G-ZZZ. Try to remember something.

Finally you will find the best room for the best price with the best review!

Go to site A to book it. They will say there are no rooms available on your dates.
Go to site B, and they will say there are 11 rooms available.
.They will also say it is twice as expensive as site A.

Your computer will now freeze.
Reboot.

At this point you may try to remember what happened on site A and B.
Unfortunately you didn’t ’save anything.
Go back to sites A, B and F (did I see this site before?) and check.

Go to site C ( which you will have to find again on Google because your computer no longer recognizes the address you have just used 12 times in two days) and the hotel is no longer on that site ( or at least you can’t find it).

Go back to site A
You will you realize that the location is actually in a red light district (why didn’t you notice that before?).

Your Qwest connection is lost .
Try for 30 minutes to get back on. Give up..

Go to bed.

Repeat the above process every day for one week.

Sometime around 3am of the fourth day in the second week you hit pay dirt!
Yey!
The location will be great
The reviews are excellent
This is their lowest price since 1987!

There will be 3 rooms still available on your date!

Act quickly
You don’t want the rooms to be gone!
You need to book this room NOW!!!!

You did it!

Site A will then send a confirmation..
The total comes to $300.
Yikes!
Your budget was $150 a night.

Quick! Cancel the reservation!

Whew!

The cancellation notice comes to you right away.
That’s when realize that you had actually booked for two nights, and the TOTAL was $150 a night!

Now there are only two rooms left.

Hurry !
Type faster. Faster.
.
Your dog unplugs your computer!!!

You call your friend, and she books the room.

You did it!!!!!!!!!!

Ps. Now repeat this entire process to book the rest of the vacation!
