The Loss

All your life you dream of him,
the boy you think is the one
The boy you had, but let go
You spend years thinking
of what might of been?
One day you hear of him.
He is not what you wished, he does not remember your love
he has fooled around and now
he is a father of three
He has made you a fool to hope
Not only are you sad
but also mad that the dreamer
let it get out of hand
your day dreams of someone
you don't even know.
You cry for hours fearing it's your fault
sad to lose a love
but ready after all this time
to grow from the loss of a Daydream
