The ins and out of heartbreak.
If I could be the one you prefer--
I would give up a thousand ideal versions of me.
If I could be the only one you adore--
I would climb a million gem-encrusted steps to meet you.
If I could be the only one you think about--
I would stop most everything and start it again for you.
Fa la la Fa la la.
My beauty is your ugliness.
Fa la la Fa la la.
My perfection is your corruption.
Fa la la Fa la la.
The stars sneeze but the sparkle can never match
the one in your eyes.
My effort seems for naught.
I toil not for every word spoken to someone else, someone (better).
Your compassion is too big for mine arms.
Your speech is too eloquent for mine ears.
Your radiance is too bright for mine eyes.
I want the stars to fall so I won't look up.
I want the waters to recede so I won't look down.
I desire the same as your toil has brought.
I desire the difference you place so carefully
before me.
My likes and dislikes are not yours.
My dream is not shared.
My vision is blurry.
My hearing is tone-deaf.
I love you.
Yet.
I hate you.
(I still love more)
