A poem about a certain someone

I want to be wrapped in your arms
And let the tears fall down my face
Just close my eyes so tight
And let the whole world be erased

I want to stay like that forever
In you arms where I feel okay
I don’t think I can quite survive
Without you one more painful day

When asleep and dreaming
I get to be there with you, free.
But with my mind so full of thoughts
Insomnia steals the dreams from me

When I dream, such lovely dreams
You arms around me are all I feel
But then I wake to harsh reality
That none of it is even real

I know you’ll never feel the same
I walk this world forever alone
And although there are people around me
Without you I’m always on my own

I wish to fade into eternal sleep
Never having to miss you again
I wish I had the courage to do it
And let death take away my pain
