A lonely girl waiting for love. When she finds him, he disappears. |
A light push from the wind, The cold breeze whispers to her. A snowflake brushes her skin; Leaving a trail of hopeless hearts She stares into the wilderness, Her pale eyes glistening with despair. A tear rolls down her cheek And solidifies with the cold. Her thoughts freeze As she embraces the numbness. Her eyes search mindlessly For the one she longs for. She swiftly moves toward the forest, Gliding over the ice in her path. She sees a shadow and he's there, Standing patiently in front of her. He has the face of an angel Willing to take her to heaven. His eyes are golden like the sun. They illuminate the wan surroundings, Bringing colour into his white face. His body made perfect - muscular and secure He took her breath away And she longed to touch him She reached out to place her fingers on his cheek And gasped. As soon as she stretched out her fingertips He disappeared. Her angel was gone. She frantically turned on the spot; All she wanted was to find him. A chill ran down her spine, And her eyes widened with horror As she realizes the truth. He was never real, He was only a figment from a dream. Someone that perfect was bound to be inhuman. No one even existed in her world. She will never find her love, That is the only truth. She feels the numb surround her yet again. Her blank eyes stare at the spot where her angel vanished. She sits beneath a ghastly tree and waits, She's always waiting. |
