Not forgotten
How clear the morning light creeps
Over isolated cloudy ramparts,
And flowers nod in the early breeze.

Then middays sullen brassy sun
Beating down in sullen glare,
Driving all to some cooling shade.

But when at days end the deepening red,
On the far Western horizon,
Signals some, to Mecca; turn and pray.

In the quiet of the evening,
As night draws near,
My thoughts return to you .
