Meet The Press has lost it’s host, you were an outstanding and entertaining guy
The likes of you will be hard to find, and that nobody can deny
Sunday mornings will not be the same, when I turn on my TV and sit
Who is going to ask the tough questions now, with your style, determination and wit

You always did your research, before you grilled your weekly guest
Your integrity, fairness, and infectious love for politics, made you a cut above the rest
The Buffalo Bills lost a major fan, of the team that you did love
Now when they need a “Hail Mary” pass, they’ve got a great connection, as you watch from up above

Whether to make a point, get elected, or plug their latest book, the politicians, upon you would call
Rest in peace Tim Russert – you will be truly missed by all
Election time again is near, and we always enjoyed your excited, smiling face, as you would give us the score
Rest in peace Tim Russert – you will be missed forevermore
