Chapter 1: Beary's Journal

         I did amazing death defying stunts while Lawrence caught me. Ha! Do you think that I got hurt? Of course!!! I fell on a big splinter and Lawrence got it out for me. Ouchies! It lasted so shortly, that school day. I'll miss Mrs. Martin for sure. It was a day filled with movies. Then recess. Then dismissal. Lawrence watched Skylark, then Sarah, Plain and Tall, and then read at Borders®. I had to stay in the Van; I was so tired I fell asleep. When they returned, I woke up. Lawrence said I was the most powerful bear in the universe! I wonder how I would look if I had a cape on. It was almost time to sleep after Lawrence played his piano. I fell asleep again! Not to brag, but his music was great! Lawrence went to sleep and I didn't. I had so much energy. I was so scared too! There was a gigantic storm outside, and I was much relieved when I snuggled into Lawrence's covers!
