A poem I wrote in the dead of winter not long ago.
Creatures fight the cold winter breeze
The breeze littered with falling death
That eventually come to rest on the barren ground
Ligaments freeze
Movement wrongfully taken from a shell
Slipping into a winter coma
Pray to see the light shine upon your face
Just one last time
Dead trees loom
Faces of agony outlined in their bark
They follow
Vulnerability is second nature
You know no other
You shrink amongst this iced hell
All have forgotten
All have lost interest
All don't care
You feel numb
Questioning your existence
Questioning if life still rules your veins
Spiraling backwards
Replays swim by fast motion
He stands before you
As white as the snow that falls
With eyes as black as the contrasted trees
Outstretched hand
Warmth eminating from his open palm
All facial features non existent but for his eyes
Inviting yet warning
You take it
