Words are the deadliest weapons of all
A spring of salt and fresh water
Stirring up dissension
Splitting the neighbors
Increasing the tension
The spark is set!

Lips of poison telling nursery rhymes
Stories of praise from cursed tongues
Passed on and destroyed
Too many times
Like endless copies of copies
No trace of origin remains

Ignorant hands have woven together
A beautiful tapestry
That should not be
An abstraction parading as truth
Not sewn for love, but only ruin

Burning embers cast out of debris
Shooting right back at me
Swallowed like choice morsels
Straight to the inmost parts
Laying waste to the truth
Incinerating hearts
Green leaves, now gray ashes

You have betrayed confidence
Shown yourself as ignorance
Look at the damage you have made
And pray the blood wipes clean from your blade
Words cannot be sheathed like swords
Much sharper than sticks or stones
Don't let your spirit be damned by your mouth
So tame your tongue or tear it out!
