Weighted down by the life I lead
bended in sorrow by the joys I could
not keep

Praying for rest, hoping for the best
not knowing what will be next
one more day

Voices screaming in my head
the words mutated by the denseness
of the despair that washes over me

casting shadows no one else can see
shifting my perception on reality
day in day out I pray for release

Trying not to get caught up with lost
memories
praying hard to keep my sanity
only knowing that this must end
