A Poem about being alone... very alone. This is the best one, I think.
I'm the sentinal on the outpost wall,
The cast-away in the summer squall,
The only rider on the midnight train,
The shadow on the pier in a reckless rain...

I'm the only gazer at the open grave,
The one sheep lost, not the 99 saved,
I'm the quiet wishing in the desperate hour,
The final moments in the old stone tower ...

I'm the pending knowledge of the servant's sin,
I'm the waiting-for without an end,
The scary fear from which wise men flee,
A dark, silent vessel at the bottom of the sea...

I'm the last of the litter no one takes,
The dream from which the condemned awakes,
I'm the lingering itch from the severed limb,
A hapless note in a wayward wind...

I'm the lonely crow that flew too low,
The tragic path in the melting snow,
The lost key for the dungeon door,
The addict's need for just one more...

A sad tale left untold by the teller,
I'm the creaking darkness down in the cellar,
I'm the wedding gown worn with dread,
The dull stone marker for the much-hated dead...

I'm the weeping wail not understood,
The abandoned fort in the forgotten wood,
I'm the midnight moon on the world's last day,
...I'm the troubled son who's lost his way.
