A really short poem about the sickness that people call love and how it effected her.
Love Sick and Dying

She was love sick.
You could see it.

Her skin was pale and she looked starved.
She burned with hunger.
You could see it in her eyes.

And it ate at her, at me.
She was so careful not to cry. So very careful.
She was love sick and so ashamed.

In every line of her body, every movement,
She screamed silently for him.
I can’t be the only who sees it.

Around her was the chaotic mess of
Her feelings. They bit and prickled along
My skin. She was love sick and aching.

She was love sick.
And dying.
