A poem about someone being asked an important question. Enjoy! :)
Yes

I think about it.
A moment's time.
I want to answer.
The seconds chime.

Simply words,
Just vocal sound.
But what they mean
Is deeper bound.

To change a life,
That has been fine,
To make it something,
More divine.

But what if my love
Changes you?
We break apart.
What would I do?

Lonely fear.
Afraid to taste.
But also wonder,
"Did I waste?"

What if my words
Break your heart?
What if they
Tear you apart?

Should I give you
What you ask?
Or should I just
Stay on my task?

What I want
Is not to move.
Not to answer,
Not to choose.

I can't stand here,
In this place.
The moments pass,
Your worried face.

To be with you,
Or stay alone?
I've made my choice,
My seed is sown.

I see you shake,
Your eyes can't guess.
With a smiling face,
I whisper, "Yes."
