I remember a time before I knew this very art,
When darkness threatened all around,
Craving to turn the very soul.
But I took hold of that inset torch:
Its blaze denying putrid smog at threatened brink.
Its aura protecting light hearted centre of such worth.
If it had not been for your sweet fervour,
I would have lost much through that medieval era;
And in a time of hurt and solitude,
Your warm radiance saved a vital humor.
I will always have need of your supreme splendour,
a steadfast flame, keep near in this interlude.

I want to build a fireplace, throw out your thoughts like soaring lead.
