humor poetry about playing a "game" that was a simulation/demo
Pinball Wizard, I once was, just for my enjoyment
Now as I held the space bar down for deployment
Listening to the bells that rang as my heart sang
Sans quarter slot, to rob my change...
Waves of nostalgia rippled through my being
Endorphins released with each flipper I was keying
Bling blang, cling clang, cha ching, botta bing
Boop, bap, clip clap, hmmm...what's wrong with this thing?

Woo Hoo! I'm still damn good, I smugly surmised
Certainly you're no match---to launch one, I advised
Pang a lang, ding a ling, blippety blop---pop, pop, pop!
Dang! Almost two million, I'm on a roll! Can't stop!
Suddenly, it dawned on me, my skill might kill my fun...
How could it be over, when the fun had just begun?
Finally launch two arrived, through no fault of mine
Yeah! Call me Queen Ball Wizard, that'll be just fine

Why do the flippers only flip when the ball rolls by?
Three million plus, damn, I'm good, and didn't even try
Perplexed, ten games later, my talent down the drain
Flippers flapping in the wind time and time again
When suddenly it dawned on me---Miss Queen Space Cadet
That on my big pinball debut, I wasn't playing yet!
I chuckled loudly, knowing now, it was just a simulation
Imaginary skill to thrill, wrapped up in mental aberration...
